Graphics Evolving for the Future of News
HTML Graphics in the same PRIME Workflow
With its deep history in NRCS-driven production, Chyron continues to expand what news teams can accomplish from a single platform. At IBC 2026, Chyron will showcase the future of web-native news graphics with an exciting preview of PRIME HTML. Designed to plug directly into established NRCS environments, PRIME HTML will provide news teams with a secure path to modern HTML graphics. Building on PRIME’s current capability to bring HTML content into Preview and Output, PRIME HTML will introduce an on-prem, native HTML graphics authoring and output workflow using the PBHX scene format, engineered for secure local-network (LAN) playout.
As newsrooms move toward multi-platform distribution, this expanding HTML ecosystem protects existing brand assets, newsroom templates, and MOS integrations. With its upcoming native authoring tools, PRIME HTML is designed to safeguard creative investments by eliminating the need to recreate graphics in separate systems for broadcast, web, digital, or HTML-based delivery. In doing so, Chyron is laying the groundwork for a hardware-light, cost-effective, and flexible future for newsroom graphics delivery across broadcast, streaming, and digital channels.
Automated Multi-Language Localization
Extending workflow efficiency to multi-language broadcasting, Chyron’s stand will feature a preview of PRIME Translate, for localization of on-air graphics across multiple language outputs. PRIME Translate identifies replaceable text in PRIME graphics, translates it into the selected target language, and routes the localized version to the appropriate output to deliver multilingual content in a matter of seconds while preserving their existing PRIME workflow.
The demonstration highlights PRIME Translate’s role within a broader multi-partner localization workflow initiative, where PRIME serves as the graphics engine in a scalable, end-to-end content localization ecosystem. This supports text, vocal and facial movement translation in a one-to-many live production model.
Agile Cloud Production & Monetization with Chyron LIVE
Bringing true professional-grade broadcast power to the web, Chyron LIVE continues to evolve around customer needs as news teams move beyond traditional OB trucks and brick-and-mortar control rooms into the cloud. The cloud native platform unifies vision mixing, broadcast graphics, clip playout, and audio commentary, delivering a fast, flexible toolkit for remote live coverage and multi-platform distribution. As Chyron LIVE advances toward a full cloud newsroom MOS workflow, stand previews will showcase next-generation features suited for live news.
LIVE also now supports SCTE-35 ad insertion support, tailored to help newsrooms monetize long-form digital streaming during breaking news, severe weather, and special events. By embedding automated ad markers directly into live streams, LIVE manages full break sequences, including configurable pre-roll, cue-out, slate, cue-in, built-in fallback slate, and return-to-program timing, without forcing operators to manage commercial playout manually.
Another key highlight for Chyron LIVE at IBC 2026 is a new self-managed portal integrated in AWS marketplace. Built for instant scalability, the portal allows teams to instantly spin up, pause, or tear down isolated secure broadcast environments. Broadcasters can also take advantage of frictionless procurement by purchasing production hours directly through the AWS Marketplace using their existing AWS credits.
Centralized Newsroom Control
Unifying Editorial Workflows via CAMIO
At the heart of modern news production, Chyron CAMIO offers a robust MOS-driven visual storytelling solution. CAMIO drives PRIME graphics templates, virtual sets, LED video walls, and weather elements, all from a single NRCS interface that extends editorial control far beyond traditional live visuals.
At IBC 2026, Chyron will demo CAMIO’s LUCI Control Panels, offering advanced controls to fulfill graphics using intuitive sliders, visual color pickers, and direct layout mapping alongside traditional replaceable text fields. This enables producers to populate complex graphics independently straight from the rundown, speeding up breaking news turnarounds while safeguarding brand rules established by the art department. Underpinning these capabilities, Chyron will preview an improved redesign of the LUCI user interface, maximizing NRCS screen space with an intuitive, left-to-right layout aligned with how producers instinctually work: browse, fulfill, preview, publish.
As part of the ChyAI initiative, with a strong focus on built-in, rather than third-party tools, Chyron will preview AI-enhanced CAMIO capabilities built to accelerate editorial workflows. Highlights include an AI Crop Tool for one-click headshot centering, AI Image Tagging for granular asset search, and a concept LUCI AI Assistant delivering contextual template suggestions directly to news teams.
In a key technical highlight, Chyron will preview VSAR integration with Unreal® Engine’s native Motion Design plugin inside the core CAMIO newsroom ecosystem, bringing photorealistic 2D/3D graphics across green screen environments and LED walls directly into newsroom asset management. Journalists and producers can fulfill Unreal templates straight from their familiar NRCS interface, giving news teams complete control over complex visual elements directly from the daily rundown, without adding operational complexity.
Streamlined Asset Fulfillment: AXIS News & Ecosystem Integrations
Extending PRIME further into newsroom production, Chyron now offers PRIME template support directly within AXIS News, offering a flexible option for simplifying daily graphics fulfillment. Inside AXIS, journalists can load brand-compliant PRIME scenes to customize text and graphics in real time. For location-driven stories, upgraded map animation tools allow teams to build dynamic, multi-point routes precisely timed to anchor voiceovers.
Chyron will also preview upcoming AXIS innovations, including an AI-powered Canvas Tool featuring automated background removal for rapid multi-layered image creation. Attendees can also explore deeper ecosystem integrations. For example, CAMIO connectivity routes AXIS graphics straight to NRCS rundowns without team handoffs, while VSAR integration brings AXIS assets into virtual sets as spatial AR elements that presenters can walk around live on set.
Immersive Virtual Production
Chyron’s IBC stand will showcase the full power of virtual sets, augmented reality (AR), and set extension in a dedicated demonstration zone featuring green screen and LED wall setups. Visitors can examine real-world set designs currently deployed by Chyron’s enterprise clients, explore the latest feature enhancements in VSAR, and discover how these advanced visual storytelling tools integrate seamlessly into daily, rundown-driven newsroom workflows using Chyron CAMIO for unified graphic asset management.
Powering this ecosystem will be a new low-latency VSAR Controller, a gRPC-based orchestration service that replaces legacy middleware. This centralized control plane manages multi-instance cluster pools, remote node configuration, and near-instant preview synchronization, enabling render nodes to scale linearly without system bottlenecks.
Powerful Weather Automation Meets Immersive Virtual Storytelling
Chyron Weather continues to advance live weather operations with new data automation and automated quality controls. The updated platform introduces native Climate Data Operators (CDO) integration to process raw meteorological datasets directly within the system, streamlining the production of dynamic on-air graphics from complex feeds.
Visitors to Chyron’s stand 7.A23 will also see a preview prototype combining Chyron Weather with VSAR for live, interactive studio environments. Using the familiar Weather Presenter interface, meteorologists can simply drag virtual trigger objects directly into their playlist alongside standard map slides. As the presenter moves through the forecast, the virtual set reacts in real time, automatically launching environmental effects, like studio rain or atmospheric updates for an immersive, presenter-driven experience.
Essential Desktop & Remote Production Utilities: Chyron Toolbox
Chyron Toolbox returns to IBC 2026 as the production-ready bridge between the newsroom desktop and the live production chain, giving broadcasters a powerful way to turn web content, desktop applications, local media, and remote contributors into dependable sources for air. With SDI and NDI connectivity, Toolbox helps producers reduce wrong-window mishaps, framing errors, and last-second corrections by preparing content before it reaches the wider production environment. Flexible software-only, SDI hardware, and turnkey deployment options allow it to fit seamlessly into any newsroom or control-room setup.
The true power of Toolbox lies in combining its core capabilities as a broadcast-grade scaler, compositor, and live switcher within a single, condensed studio environment. Rather than treating desktop sources as isolated inputs, Toolbox provides an all-in-one ecosystem to prepare, layer, and switch content on the fly. This multi-tool approach makes it an essential engine for high-velocity coverage, from monitoring breaking news and live traffic to managing complex election and severe weather operations.
