Chyron Unveils Latest Sports Workflow Solutions for IBC 2026

Data-Driven Graphics, Seamless Integrations, And AI-Powered Features That Drive Efficiency and Elevate Live Sports Productions

MELVILLE, N.Y. – August 13, 2026  – This year’s IBC marks a milestone for Chyron as it celebrates sixty years of innovation. Always evolving, Chyron has an established trajectory of developing technology that delivers more efficient and more impactful visual storytelling for sports broadcast.

Growing exponentially since the invention of the modern graphics system in 1966, Chyron today offers a complete suite of visual storytelling and fan engagement technologies, including sports analysis, graphics with data display, remote production, virtual production, and venue production control. 

Chyron has always been a key player in sportscasting and live events, including recent Olympics and World Cup coverage. Visitors to the Chyron booth, 7.A23, will be able to see first hand how coverage of major sporting events is produced, along with live demonstrations showcasing Chyron’s full array of sports analysis, graphics and data display, remote production, virtual and augmented reality, and venue control solutions.

The Chyron team encourages consultative conversations to discover how to improve current workflows, identify the most impactful next steps, and prepare for the future without replacing everything all at once. 


Sports Analysis

In the dedicated sports area of the booth, visitors can learn more about how Chyron facilitates world class coverage and analysis, with demonstrations of PAINT, Virtual Placement, and ZXY Tracking in action, along with the latest updates.

PAINT, Chyron’s solution for telestration, illustrated replay, and data-driven graphics, presents the new features in version 10.4, its latest release, including an integration with Chyron VaultSync enabling automatic synchronization of team logos, colors, and branding assets for broadcast-ready telestration and consistent visual identity. Sweep calibration provides fast and guided field calibration for accurate placement of perspective-aware 3D graphics, helping operators move from setup to air faster. The six-input replay functionality allows simultaneous recording and access to six HD camera inputs, enabling operators to select the best angle for replay and telestration. The latest AI-driven features include AI Player CutOut, designed for AI-assisted player detection and masking, and the upcoming CamWarp, which uses AI to create compelling transitions between camera angles, delivering a more visually engaging multi-camera analysis.

Chyron’s Virtual Placement inserts virtual and data-driven AR graphics into live broadcasts and in-venue displays. It will showcase its embedded PRIME integration, enabling the creation and control of advanced animated, data-driven, and spatial graphics, directly within Virtual Placement for a more integrated workflow. Runtime chroma key switching allows operators to move between automatic and manual keying as sunlight, shadows, and field conditions change. An optional PGM/ISO comparison clip will demonstrate the downstream workflow used to verify that the correct camera calibration is ready before a camera goes to air. Football-focused scenes will also show how virtual graphics, sponsorship elements, and analysis content can be positioned accurately on the pitch. In addition, Chyron will preview automatic calibration line detection, which identifies the required field lines across all reference images in approximately 30 seconds. Operators can then review the results and approve or correct any exceptions as shown in the newest features in version 8.1

ZXY Tracking, Chyron’s satellite-based tracking system built for sports and racing events, will demonstrate its centimeter-level accuracy and integration with PRIME and Virtual Placement for data-driven graphics. The new PTZ Camera Control enables race courses to automate their camera operations using positional tracking data, controlling pan, tilt, zoom, and automatic athlete following. Event-based triggers can be programmed for cameras to perform specific actions depending on real-time milestones.


Graphics Built for Speed and Data Display

Playout Panels

Chyron is known for legendary speed in operator-driven playout, especially for live sports, where everything can change instantly. PRIME, Chyron’s live production platform, is always evolving to help sports broadcasters create and control live graphics more efficiently, while maintaining the reliability and familiar production processes they already use. PRIME Playout Panels offer the ability to build highly customized playout interfaces, exposing just what the live operator needs for complete control without exposing fundamental design and branding aspects that must remain constant. PRIME Playout Panels can be tailored to access certain data sets, image libraries, design parameters and more. Visitors at IBC 2026 can see recent advances and customer use cases of PRIME Playout Panels in action and learn how to adapt this tool for their own needs. 

For workflows utilizing a newsroom computer system to build rundowns, LUCI Control Panels now bring this same level of customizable control directly to PRIME templates in the NRCS environment. Each panel can be configured around an existing live sports production setup, reducing manual handoffs between the producer, the graphics operator, and the art department before and during a match. Recent PRIME updates shorten the time needed to build and deploy operator panels across live games, studio shows, and remote productions. Panel workflows also extend to HTML5 and web-based operation, giving teams a path to browser-based control as their facilities move in that direction. The latest updates for PRIME can be seen in version 5.4.

PRIME HTML

The full scope of PRIME HTML initiatives includes HTML input, output and native graphics creation that  will extend the value of existing PRIME graphics investments, enabling production teams to reuse content across playout environments rather than rebuild packages from scratch. PRIME’s HTML capabilities are on track to modernize graphics workflows, making them lighter to deploy, easier to operate, and more adaptable across traditional sports broadcast as well as multiplatform production workflows. Sports broadcasters can scale template fulfillment across locations without the limitations of traditional graphics hardware and deliver information-rich graphics optimized for modern viewing habits. 

AI-Driven Translation

Chyron will also demonstrate how its workflows can support multilingual production for global and multiregional sporting events through PRIME Translate. This AI-driven project, supported by NVIDIA, allows broadcasters to automatically translate voice, facial movements, and PRIME graphics text into multiple languages. PRIME Translate enables global sports broadcasters to localize on-air graphics while preserving their original graphics workflows. Production teams can, for example, deliver the same sports graphics package across multiple languages or regional feeds and translate data-fed tickers or headline feeds for different language outputs. At IBC, Chyron will show PRIME Translate working with AI Media to translate PRIME graphics and route localized versions to separate outputs.

Introducing PRIME Scorebug

Rounding out Chyron’s newest sports graphics capabilities, visitors can learn about the recently released PRIME Scorebug, a unified sports production solution built as an extension of the PRIME platform, consolidating scorebug design, control, and playout within the same environment used for live insert graphics. Broadcasters can run their entire graphics pipeline within a single workflow and platform, with live data, branding assets, and on-air graphics fully synchronized.

URL Image Support

Extending this unified, data-driven approach, Chyron will preview sports workflows with URL-based image support. This functionality allows production teams to pull player headshots, logos, and other live production assets directly from URLs and cache them for broadcast use, making image-driven sports graphics workflows lighter and faster.


REMI and Rapid Scale Up for Special Events

LIVE, Chyron’s cloud-native live video production platform, is designed to drive an entire live production from a web browser, including vision mixing, real-time motion graphics, data integration and display, clip playout, audio mixing, illustrated replay, and remote commentary. Already proven effective for rapidly scaling up for special events or for remote production, LIVE continues to improve. 

This year at IBC, Chyron showcases LIVE’s extensively tested integration with Haivision StreamHub, for managing remote video contributions, along with replay improvements and Chyron LIVE’s AI replay capabilities. Operators can easily utilize the all-in-one user interface, or rely on one of LIVE’s new sports – specific user interfaces, offering a streamlined workspace with graphics and controls appropriate for the sport. 

Better content also means more monetization opportunity, and Chyron LIVE now leverages this with SCTE-35 ad insertion markers to inform downstream provider systems when to begin and end ad replacement, and built-in verification reporting to confirm ad delivery to advertisers.

LIVE is now available to purchase and deploy on demand directly from the AWS Marketplace, with the option to use AWS credits. 


Virtual Sets, Augmented and Extended Reality

A primary highlight on this year’s IBC booth is an extensive green screen and LED area featuring Chyron VSAR, showcasing workflows and unified control for virtual sets and augmented and extended reality. There will be a preview of VSAR integration with Unreal® Engine’s native Motion Design, allowing broadcasters to use Unreal’s 2D and 3D graphics engine natively within Chyron’s production ecosystem. 

VSAR’s utility for sports extends not only to presentation environments and data display, but also to tactical analysis via integration with Chyron PAINT. Known for illustrated replay, PAINT may also be used to create virtual lineups. Integrating VSAR and PAINT, broadcasters can showcase a 3D formation in a virtual environment that the talent can interact with by moving players, adding tactical annotations, and more to enhance the narrative. Venue Control

Click Effects, Chyron’s industry leading venue control application will also be on display at this year’s IBC. Visitors will be able to review how major stadiums use Click Effects for fan engagement and monetization and to preview what’s coming next.
