CAMIO 5.6 debuts LUCI Control Panels, giving producers and journalists the clarity and precision to populate complex templates with ease, as control panels built in PRIME now translate directly to the LUCI plugin in your newsroom system. Rows and columns appear just as they do in the final output, replacing the traditional vertical list of fields and removing the guesswork from complex templates and giving producers a clean, purpose-built interface that mirrors the graphic they’re populating. Producers can select colors from an on-screen palette instead of typing hex codes, toggle a row highlight with a single click, and work with checkboxes, sliders, and custom grids, giving users direct, visual control over every adjustment. Behind the interface, dependent data fields let selections in one field automatically filter options in another, while custom scripting allows designers to build logic directly into the control panel, streamlining workflows that previously required manual intervention. The result is an entirely new level of what producers can do on their own, directly from the rundown, saving valuable time and making an immediate impact for our users.

CAMIO 5.6 also delivers a major upgrade to how rundown changes are communicated to playout systems. Updates now process up to 60% faster, meaning changes are rapidly expedited to playout, enabling producers to keep moving at the pace of the rundown. The improvement scales efficiently across multiple playout targets, with minimal overhead per additional system, delivering even stronger performance gains when running multiple outputs.
Enhanced CAMIO Monitoring Provides Clearer System Health
CAMIO includes a built-in monitoring layer designed for IT admins and operators, providing real-time visibility into the health of every service across the platform via Grafana dashboards. With CAMIO 5.6, monitoring now covers the full Red, Amber, Green spectrum. So if a service appears to be running but has stopped responding, dashboards surface a clear warning state, giving your team the signal to investigate before a minor issue becomes a major problem during live production.
