CAMIO 5.5: Platform Modernization and Workflow Improvements Across the Suite

Build a More Stable Foundation for Your Newsroom Graphics Workflows

At Chyron, continuous improvement is at the heart of what we do. Many of our releases introduce major new features, while others lay the groundwork to support those features down the road.

CAMIO 5.5 is a focused release that makes the broadcast graphics workflow steadier to run and more efficient day to day. The update strengthens the platform underneath while refining a number of the everyday tools your team relies on. Looking ahead, this release sets the stage for major upgrades to the LUCI interface that users will soon enjoy at their NRCS workstations.

CAMIO 5.5 Release Strengthens the Platform

CAMIO 5.5 introduces a structural upgrade designed to provide users and administrators with a foundation built for stability and scale. In practice, that means fewer interruptions, steadier performance under load, and faster rundown updates.

CAMIO 5.5 Release Improves Daily Workflows

CAMIO 5.5 pairs that reliability with workflow improvements across the Admin Tool, Asset Manager, and LUCI. In the Admin Tool, replication is easier to manage, with sortable views and one-click ‘Resync All’ controls. In Asset Manager, replaceables can be hidden or revealed in bulk. And in the LUCI plugin, larger previews and clearer error messaging are available.

Beyond these features, CAMIO 5.5 adds a number of smaller refinements across the Admin Tool, Asset Manager, LUCI, and Media Engine, along with stability and reliability improvements spanning replication, MOS handling, and newsroom integrations with Avid iNews and ENPS.

Because the CAMIO workflow touches so many parts of the newsroom and control room, upgrades are worth timing well and planning carefully. As you map out your approach, reach out to the Chyron team – we can help you decide when the time is right.
