Telemundo Successfully Launches Chyron Virtual Set and Live Graphics Package for Paris Remote Coverage
MELVILLE, N.Y. — July 30, 2024 — Chyron today announced that Telemundo has deployed the Chyron VSAR platform with a customized set that recreates the Champs de Mars with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. Thus, production staff and on-air talent can work remotely, from Telemundo’s Miami facility, but appear as though they are actually in Paris. Currently in use daily, covering events throughout the day and into the evening, the set transforms across each 24-hour period to realistically depict sunrise, daytime, sunset and night, accurately at any time. The design was created in-house by the Telemundo creative team, backed by the Chyron support team. Chyron VSAR offers deep level edits natively within the VSAR interface, without returning to the original creative application, streamlining the process, despite the requirement for flawless and detailed execution.
“We have worked with Chyron VSAR before, so it was an easy choice for us, but this project exceeded previous successes,” stated Fabian Albarracin, director of real time graphics at Telemundo. “We worked very collaboratively with the Chyron team from the initial development of a solution, throughout the creation and implementation process, right up until the launch.”
Additionally, Telemundo is utilizing 15 Chyron PRIME graphics systems for informational and fan engaging graphical overlays throughout broadcasts of this summer’s Paris events, including names, country flags, head shots, scores, statistics, timing clocks, leaderboards – essentially any graphical overlays. The entire ecosystem is managed by Chyron CAMIO for rundown driven and on-the-fly content.
“Chyron has enjoyed a long relationship with Telemundo,” states Aldo Campisi, vice president of sales, Latin America, at Chyron. “It is always exciting to see what their deeply talented creative, technical and operational teams can do, taking our products to the highest level. The opening ceremonies last week really showed their ability to take visual storytelling to the next level, with excellence, and also at a far more efficient cost than bringing everything physically to Paris.”
