Business Development Executive - Chyron LIVE
Chyron is a global leader in software development for the broadcast and sports industries. Specializing in live television, news, and sports production, Chyron offers some of the industry’s most widely deployed solutions for broadcast graphics creation and playout, newsroom workflows, and optical sports tracking. Chyron’s software solutions are used by broadcasters around the world including ABC, CBS, ESPN, BBC, and local stations in every television market, and a range of leagues and teams across a number of sports industries.
Chyron is seeking a Business Development Executive (BDE) who will generate interest in Chyron LIVE, Chyron’s cloud-native Live Production Platform. This role blends efficient web prospecting with excellent phone and email communication. In this role
you will be actively handling lead qualification and help convert leads into clients. While it is a mid-level sales position, it is an important piece of the Chyron LIVE business and will give you an opportunity to have exposure to the entire BU team with future
opportunities possible. This position reports to the SVP of Strategy & General Manager for the Chyron LIVE business.
- Prospecting for new clients via both phone calls and emails at high volume with an eye toward exceeding expectations
- Actively seeking out new potential client accounts and making the first contact
- with those accounts to generate interest
- Scheduling meeting or demos of the Chyron LIVE platform for qualified prospects
- Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities
- Answering customers’ questions, resolving their concerns and providing additional information via calls and emails
- Working with Regional Sales Managers to ensure qualified leads convert into paid clients by getting them timely, conducive information about Chyron
- Utilize Salesforce.com to update contact information, input information, and track sales activity
- Work closely with our Marketing team on Demand and Lead Generation
- Work closely with the Sales Development Representative and Regional Sales
- Managers of Chyron Broadcast division on all new opportunities and quotes.
- Build Prospecting Plan and review plan monthly with SVP of Strategy
- Regular travel to prospect and customer sites, industry events and tradeshows
- Team player who works productively across teams within the entire company
- BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)
- At least 2 years of sales experience, with a history of overachieving targets, in new business acquisition
- Experience within a SaaS business highly desirable
- Experience working with Sport Producers, Streamers, Clubs & Leagues
- Prior experience working in the Web / Video Streaming space a plus
- Strong communication skills over both phone and email
- Shown creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
- Positive energy and team mentality!
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com
- Working knowledge of Hubspot
- Desired location: Remote-work from the USA / Canada
- Expected Travel Schedule: Up to 50%
